Iowa Stories 2000 literacy project consisted of a one-day
"Literacy Festival" with booths for storytelling,
educating parents on literacy issues, developing reading
skills, and the telling of local histories. The event
took place on June 16, 2001. The objective was to build
community awareness of literacy issues.
