"Live
@ the Library!" is the name of Belle Plaine's Iowa
Stories 2000 literacy project. It will be a series of
eight one-hour programs held weekly at the public library.
The programs will provide an opportunity for people
from the community and area to be readers, storytellers,
and/or listeners, as selections of favorite stories,
poems, or tales of their own lives are shared. Some
of the programs will have a guiding theme and each will
be videotaped. The original videotape and one copy will
be kept in the archives of the public library (for in-house
viewing/use). Another copy will be available at the
public library for check out.
