The
objective of Cherokee's Iowa Stories 2000 literacy project
is to provide information to parents of preschool age
children about literacy issues and the importance of
reading to their children to help develop language and
reading skills. Their project consists of providing
books to children and educating parents on how to read
aloud to their children at AEA screenings and at a WIC
Clinic.
