The Verizon Tech Savvy Awards were established by the Verizon Foundation, the National Center for Family Literacy (NCFL), and the former First Lady of Iowa Christie Vilsack, a Verizon Literacy Champion.
This is the first national awards program recognizing exemplary programs that demystify technology for parents and enable them to better guide their children in the use of new media.
On March 5, 2007, the inaugural winners were announced. Learn more about these standard-setting programs.
